Saturday 5th April / 6-ROUND RAPIDPLAY (for anyone aged 12+)

An all-day rapidplay tournament, with 6 rounds, split between 2 sections for players of different abilities. 

2 SECTIONS (Maestros + Improvers)

 Cash prizes in both sections: 1st (£120) + 2nd (£75) + rating prize (£40). 

The organisers retain the right to change the prize values in the event of low entry. 

Trophies for best U18, U16 & U14.

Time control - 20 minutes plus 5 seconds increment per move.

Age - entry permitted for anyone aged 12+, on August 31st 2024.

Parking spots are a 5-12 minute walk from the venue. Instructions will be sent before the event. Please get in contact if you would like to reserve disabled parking.

Standard entrance fee - £27 // Junior (U18) - £22

This is a registered ECF game fee event - Bronze ECF and Non-ECF members are required to pay an extra £9 to register.

Entries from Sat 29th March onwards - £5 surcharge.

Entries from Wed 2nd April onwards - £10 surcharge.

A lovely homemade lunch is available at a cost of £7 (chicken or vegetable curry, rice, naan & chutney).

Tea, coffee and afternoon cake will be available, free of charge. 

Event supervisors are not able to be responsible for juniors between rounds.
